Mark Verone is a marketing, sales and ad operations leader who has applied his skill-set to Online Travel, Interactive Advertising, Radio and Direct Marketing. Mark has over ten years of professional marketing, client services, sales and advertising operations management experience and consulting for the radio, research, interactive, and dental industry(s) includes Promotion, Marketing, Event Planning, Sales and Internet Revenue Development.
As Director, Partner Marketing Operations for Orbitz Worldwide, Mark is responsible for the execution of advertising campaigns on Orbitz.com, Cheaptickets.com, eBookers, and The Away Network for the Travel Distribution Services Group.
Mark is a 1995 graduate of the prestigious S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and earned his MBA from The Lake Forest Graduate School of Management in 2005.
Over Mark's fast paced career he's worked as Promotion Coordinator and on-air personality for New City Communications (WSYR-AM, WYYY-FM and WBBS-FM, Promotion & Marketing Director at Cox Radio Syracuse WSYR-AM, WHEN-AM and WWHT-FM), Marketing & Sales Coordinator for Metromedia International, free-lance media consultant for radio stations in Eastern Europe, Russia and emerging markets, Marketing Director for Jacor's Lexington, KY cluster and also served as National Marketing Director at Critical Mass Media and Director of Marketing and Sales at The New Research Group.
Before joining Orbitz Partner Marketing, Mark spent two years with Point-To-Point Direct Marketing Solutions as Midwest Regional Vice President. Prior to Point-To-Point, Mark served 5 years with Clear Channel Radio as Director of Client Services for Clear Channel Radio Interactive where he was the architect behind a 1,200 site network Ad Serving platform of radio station properties. In addition to working with multi-million dollar Internet partners, generating non-traditional Internet ad revenue for Local and National Sales, Marketing, Research, Sales Planning, Verone has led ad operations teams and created processes for efficient Ad Trafficking, Inventory Management, and Revenue Systems.
